Do you understand the seasonality of Miami?
Ask yourself this question prior to opening a restaurant here.
I personally believe that after May 30th, there is a 30% decline in business sales for most restaurants in the Miami area.
This decline typically continues through the end of October, with only a slight uptick in business in November and December. So think about this when you are planning your opening. Business booms here in January, February, March, April. and May. At the end of May, Plan on a 30% decrease in sales for the next five months. Not understanding the seasonality of this market is the most common mistake that I see new restaurateurs making when opening a new restaurant here. If you would like to speak to me about this or anything else relating to opening a restaurant in Miami, feel free to give me a call. My direct number is 305-450-3077.
